This is a register of the contradictions I found while reading maker and retailer pages for the guides on this site, collected 2026-10-06 to 2026-10-08. Each row sets two values for one attribute of one product side by side, with the page behind each. I counted 48 conflicts, and on 2026-10-08 I went back to open the pages behind the ones that matter most.
How I count a conflict
A conflict qualifies when two pages I opened state different values for the same attribute of the same product. These do not count: rounding (85 gallons against 84.5), different models or variants (one heater sized for 208V against the same heater at 240V), a sale price shown beside its own regular price on one page, and a single page that contradicts itself with no second source. After re-opening it, I also dropped a Topture comparison. A listing gives delivery in 14-22 days, while the shipping policy says orders ship within 2 to 7 business days, and those are different attributes. The HUUM Steel Mini page shows three price fields on one page, which is the same-page kind of problem.
Rows marked cross-page are cases where two pages of this site give different values for one product and neither flags it. Every other row is a conflict the linked page already shows and calls out.
Summary count
Total: 48 conflicts, 44 called out on the page that discusses them and 4 cross-page. By field type (my arithmetic, from the rows below): price 16, warranty 8, electrical 6, size or capacity 5, weight 2, materials or inclusions 2, lead time or shipping 3, currency 2, EMF or certification 2, seats 1, temperature 1. By category: sauna heaters and electrical 8, saunas 14, cold plunge tubs 13, chillers 4, retailers and shipping 9. In 29 of the 48, both values come from one maker or seller. Re-checks on 2026-10-08: 3 still show both values, 1 now shows one value, 7 were half-confirmed or changed, 24 could not be re-opened and 13 were not re-checked.

What I could and could not re-open
I picked ten conflicts that would change a purchase or a wiring quote: Vero cooling wattage, Vero filled weight, Luminar warranty, Hallmark 44 outlet, 6 kW breaker size, CL5G warranty, KIP warranty, Kuuma lead time, Elation price and Burlington wattage. Only the CL5G warranty let me open both pages: Topture says 5 years and SaunaLife says limited lifetime. The Almost Heaven warranty page still shows 1 year on Harvia heater elements, but the Sun Valley page would not open. The 2-4 week Kuuma line is still on the prep article; the product page would not open. Topture's Elation price now reads $6,945 against the $7,031 I recorded in my Topture review, and West Coast Saunas still reads $6,976. The Vero, Luminar, Hallmark, breaker and Burlington pages would not open, so I cannot say if they still disagree.
The Fenix control price, the CL5G original price and the 24-hour damage window are also still shown. The Canuck Cold Pro Commercial tub now shows C$8,999 on both pages, so that conflict is gone.
What to do when specs disagree
- Treat every price as a same-day number. Price is the largest group at 16 of 48, and the Topture Elation price has already moved since I recorded it. Screenshot the page and ask for a delivered total in writing.
- Ask for warranty terms as a document. I found 8 warranty conflicts. The CL5G shows 5 years at one seller and limited lifetime at the maker.
- Take electrical numbers from the installation manual, then give them to an electrician. There are 6 electrical conflicts. Two sources give 40 A and 30 A for a 6 kW heater, and I cannot say which your local code accepts.
- Plan the pad and the doorway for the larger figure until the maker answers. The 7 weight, size and capacity conflicts include a Vero filled weight that differs by 185 lb between two Renu pages (1,080 lb against 895 lb, my arithmetic).
- Check the currency label before you compare. I found 2 currency conflicts, such as a Coldture chiller at $3,499 CAD next to a $3,499 USD bundle.
- Ask the right company. In 29 of 48 rows both values come from one seller, so one email with both figures and page names can settle it.
Frequently asked questions
Which page should I believe when a maker and a retailer disagree?
Neither, until the maker confirms in writing. I would use the maker's installation manual for electrical and size figures, and the seller's checkout page for price.
How often do these conflicts change?
Of the 11 rows where I could open at least one page, one conflict is gone, one price moved and 3 still show both values. That is a small sample from a single day.
Does a conflict mean the product is poor?
I cannot tell that from pages, and I have not tested any of these products. A conflict shows me where to ask a question.
Is this list complete?
It holds only conflicts already written in my guides and reviews. Pages I did not read may hold more.
What I would do
Before paying for any sauna or cold plunge, I would copy the price, warranty term, circuit size and filled weight from the maker page and from one other page, then look for a mismatch. If I found one, I would email the maker with both values and wait for a written answer before booking an electrician or pouring a base. If the maker did not answer, I would pick a different product.
